History

Ron Peterson spent his summers in Henderson Harbor since 1968. After leaving New York to pursue an Environmental Studies degree at the University of Vermont, Ron remained in Vermont for the next decade, beginning his career with a start-up environmental consulting firm in Montpelier, Vermont and starting a family. In 2001, the lure of family and the Harbor drew Ron and his wife, daughter and two Siberian Huskies back to Henderson Harbor, where he founded a consulting company focused on sub-surface investigations and quality assurance in support of agricultural research.

After 12 years as “President and Janitor”, Ron worked with another start-up, providing Health & Safety and Business Development, then a multi-national agricultural research company as a Study Director, and most recently for a local Engineering firm focusing on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, underground storage tank removals, asbestos surveys and other environmental projects. Ultimately, Ron realized he works best as “President and Janitor”, and that was the birth of Odin Environmental, LLC.

Ron approaches his work with energy and integrity and looks to partner with other firms when collaboration will lead to a better work product for his clients.

Ron still resides in Henderson Harbor with his wife. Ron and his wife’s older daughter has recently completed her masters at graduate school while their younger attends undergraduate school in New York in pursuit of a career in teaching.
